Bird Walks:
Reservations required for just these five bird walks. Space limited to 15 people. (831) 427-2998.
Friday March 2, "Bird Listening." Identifying birds by call. 8 am sharp.
Saturday, March 3, Hummingbird Tour. 8 am sharp.
Saturday March 3, Birdwatching tour. Hummingbirds and others. Noon.
Sunday, March 4, Hummingbird Tour. 8 am sharp.
Sunday March 4, "All Right, What Else is Here?" Birdwatching tour. Noon. Looking for chickadees and titmice, bushtits, quail, sparrows, finches, flycatchers, warblers, thrushes, corvids, hawks, et al.

March 2, 5, 6, 8-12 from noon – 3 and
March 3 and 4 from 10-4, except during programs.

8:00 am sharp. Birdlistening walk will focus on listening for birds, instead of watching birds. A 1-to-2 hour walk. Registration required, phone 831-427-2998. With Todd Newberry. Limit 15 people.
Noon-2. Hummingbirds and plants that attract them. Stephen McCabe will do a mix of talking, showing video and slides, and touring outside to look at real birds and real plants. Geared towards preparing volunteers for the Saturday and Sunday events, but open to the public too.

10-4 Hummingbird plants and paraphernalia for sale at Norrie's Gift Shop and Nursery at the Arboretum.

10-4 Gift shop and nursery will be open to sell hummingbird plants, jewelry, books, and gifts. New hummingbird t-shirts for sale in the Horticulture Building.

Noon. Bird watching walk with renowned local birder, Stephen Gerow.

There will also be occasional bird-watching tours and children's hummingbird tours throughout the day, roughly between 11:30 and 3:00.
There is a self-guided hummingbird trail open all year for viewing hummingbirds on your own.
