Telopea speciosissims "Fire Glow"

April 01, 2019

Our Spring Plant Sale on April 13, will feature a Silent Auction of Hort industry donations and our selections of unusual, rare, first offerings, and artful arrangements! Next in the lineup, 2 luscious 5 gal. Telopea speciosissims ‘Fire Glow,” beautiful specimens of a truly spectacular plant in full flower. I grew one for many years in the sandy soils of SFSU, where it reached 8 ft. as a multi-trunked tall and narrow shrub that flowered annually. It is well suited to coastal central and northern CA in well drained acid to neutral soil and performs very well in pots long term. We have a lot of rooted 4 in plants of various cultivars in production for the fall sale, but these 2 specimens are the only ones we will have this spring.
